Transport & Parking
There is designated visitor parking on site, entry is via either Mons or Darcy Road entrances. There is a patient drop off zone at the front entrance of the hospital for the private consultation rooms, off Darcy Road (entrance only accessible via Darcy Road heading east). Disabled parking is also available at front entrance and both sides of the building. Please pay for parking at pay station located on the ground floor of the hospital. If you are entering Westmead Hospital via University Clinics Entrance (10 on map), take first set of lifts on the left (just opposite to coffee shop/University Clinics) up to level 3 (you enter on level 2). The Endoscopy Unit should be directly in front of you after walking down a short corridor. If you are entering Westmead Hospital via the Main Front Entrance (2 on map), turn right after the main Atrium/Patient Enquiry, just prior to the chemist. Continue down the corridor past Diagnostic Imaging till the end of the corridor. Turn right at the end of the corridor at Pre-Admission Clinic and take the first set of lifts on the right (just opposite coffee shop/University Clinics) up to level 3. The Endoscopy Unit should be directly in front of you after walking down a short corridor.
Special Instructions
Please ensure that you have taken your form to the Endoscopy Unit and handed this form to the booking clerk there well in advance of the procedure. Remember to fast for at least 6 hours prior to the procedure. Make sure you have withheld any medications that may increase your potential risk of bleeding, as per instructed by your specialist (please discuss with our staff member if you are unsure). All other regular medications can be taken with a sip of water at 6am for morning procedures and with breakfast for afternoon procedures. Please remember to bring all your CT scans and films with you to the procedure, even if your specialist has reviewed them previously. Please remember to have someone pick you up after the procedure. Transport home via public transport, Taxi or Uber is not permitted.

The Respiratory Function Laboratory is located on your left, prior to the main corridor/CD Block lifts. If you are entering Westmead Hospital via the Main Front Entrance (2 on map), Go past the Atrium/Patient Enquiry and then past the flower shop/new agents/hairdresser. Turn right at the coffee shop/food court and continue all the way down the main corridor towards the CD block lifts to the end of the corridor (past AB Block lifts, and post office on the left). At the end of the corridor, turn right and the Respiratory Function Laboratory is located on your right
