COVID-19 Policy

At Sydney West Respiratory and Sleep Centre, we are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our patients, visitors and staff. We strive to follow the NSW Health advice to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Our staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and regularly undertake surveillance testing for COVID-19. Please review this page regularly for updates regarding our COVID-19 policies, which may change rapidly pending situation.

Please DO NOT attend the clinic if you have any of the following NEW symptoms in the last 48 hours:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore or scratchy throat
  • Runny nose and/or sneezing
  • New muscle or joint pain
  • Nausea/vomiting/diarrhoea
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Positive COVID-19 test in the last 7 days

OR

  • Positive COVID-19 test in the last 7 days
  • Have been in contact with a person with COVID-19 in the last 7 days.

Telehealth consultation can be arranged if you are unable to attend your appointment due to the above reasons. To ensure everyone’s safety, we would ask for your assistance by wearing a mask when you attend the clinic. If there the waiting room is full and social distancing cannot be maintained, our staff may ask you to return to the surgery at a later time.

Please also be aware that we are located within Westmead Private Hospital, and you will need to also comply with the rules and regulations of Westmead Private Hospital and Ramsay Health Care. Please follow the below link for the most updated information.
